Be'er-Sheva Robotics Team Wins 4th at World Robot Olympics

Publish Date: 7/24/2017
The young people, who operate under the auspices of the Jusidman Center at Ben-Gurion University, are expected to return to Israel tomorrow (Monday, July 24) after taking part in the prestigious competition held in Washington, DC, ultimately winning 4th place.

This is a team of 11 students who won the national competition and represented the State of Israel for the first time in history at the World Robotics Olympics, in which 158 countries from around the world took part.

As mentioned, The Jusidman Center for Science-Oriented Youth is the center for all youth activities at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The Center offers a range of activities for youth - from one-time exposure programs to in-depth programs for outstanding students.

The Center believes that high quality scientific learning and an approach of excellence, encourages young people to continue in these fields in the future, to link their future with academic studies at the university and to serve as role models and community leaders.
