Hundreds of volunteers from various organizations participated in an art fair held by social organizations last week in the lobby of the Be'er-Sheva Performing Arts Center. The fair exposed the extensive activities of the various social organizations and provided the possibility of recruiting new volunteers. At the fair, guests could purchase original gifts for Rosh Hashanah and works of art by members of non-profit organizations and social organizations in Be'er-Sheva, including associations for people with special needs and artists of the Artists' House.
Among the organizations and non-profit organizations that took part were 'Ilan,' 'Anosh,' 'Kfar Irusim,' 'Yachdav,' the Association for the Wellbeing of Soldiers, 'Women Stitching a Dream,' 'Aleh Negev,' and the 'Rahat Women's Association'.
The fair was an opportunity for artists in the city to socially and financially leverage creativity and art for the highest goals. This was an unmediated encounter between a wide cultural and artistic audience and diverse audiences and populations.
It should be noted that the event was initiated and produced voluntarily by all the partners. In addition, the proceeds from the sales were transferred in full to the participants.
The Fair is a joint initiative of the Municipal Committee for the Promotion and Encouragement of Volunteering, the Welfare, and Social Services departments, Events and Education Departments of the Be'er-Sheva municipality, Kivunim, the Artists' House, and the Council of Volunteer Organizations in Be'er-Sheva.
